Tytuł piosenki został wyjawiony po raz pierwszy 20 grudnia 2008 roku w magazynie Revolver. Na początku lutego w sekcji Smoking Section magazynu The Rolling Stone Manson wyjawił informację, że piosenka jest pierwszym singlem z płyty, i że niedługo ruszają zdjęcia do wideoklipu. ?Singiel ten trwa 9 minut. Jest dotkliwie sadystyczny. Zasadniczo mamy tu morderstwo, seks, śmierć, koniec? — zapowiedział Manson. Wydane w marcu oświadczenie prasowe Interscope skorygowało jednak wcześniejsze informacje, wskazując, że pierwszym singlem z płyty będzie Arma…geddon.

Przedstawiona 16 kwietnia oficjalna tracklista uplasowała piosenkę pod numerem 8.
